Seiko Presage Mint Mist: the green of a Cocktail Time
The Seiko Presage HCB002J1 is a 38.5 mm automatic men's watch from the Cocktail Time collection. This line of Seiko Presage takes cocktail aesthetics as its starting point to create dials with different colors and textures. In this model, the inspiration is the Mint Mist, a cocktail that combines mint liqueur with white rum and plenty of ice. The surface is not smooth: its texture creates different reflections when the angle of light changes, and that shifting green enhances the contrast with the brown of the strap, making the color combination more striking.
A fresher color, but equally warm thanks to the rose gold applied to the indexes and hands, just like on the Whiskey Mist. Perfect for a lunch, a dinner, a day that deserves a little more care.
It is automatic. It winds with the movement of your wrist and has a 41-hour power reserve. The crown, wide and grooved, makes winding it comfortable. It also has a hacking seconds function. A detail appreciated when you set it to the second.
The transparent case back reveals the caliber 4R35 in operation, a detail that especially makes sense in an automatic watch.
The case measures 38.5 mm and the watch weighs only 64 g, so it feels light on the wrist. The leather strap matches that size and slides under a shirt cuff, while the three-fold clasp with push-button release makes it easy to put on and take off.
The crystal is domed Hardlex. Its smooth curve makes reflections move across the surface. A detail of classic watchmaking.

The Seiko 4R35 is an automatic movement: it winds with the movement of your wrist while you wear the watch. It also allows manual winding via the crown. It has an approximate power reserve of 41 hours and hacking seconds, so the seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown to set the time more precisely.
How much can it deviate per day?
The 4R35 caliber has a precision specified by Seiko of −35/+45 seconds per day. In an automatic movement it is normal for the time to run fast or slow; the rate can also vary depending on the position in which the watch is left, the temperature, or use.
If you seek maximum accuracy and don't want to correct the time occasionally, a quartz watch offers greater precision. In an automatic like this Presage, these small variations are part of the normal operation of a mechanical movement.

The manufacturer declares a water resistance of 5 bar (50 m). It is suitable for occasional contact with water, but we do not recommend swimming with it or unnecessarily wetting the leather strap.

Not necessarily. It is a restrained size, especially if you come from 42-44 mm watches. In this Presage, the diameter allows the dial to take center stage without the watch relying on a large case to stand out.
