Lotus Chronograph

When you want to measure time, not just see it

Lotus Chronograph: the extra function you actually use

A chronograph adds something a three-hand watch doesn't have: the ability to measure intervals of time. It's not just an aesthetic matter. With the side pushers you can start, stop and reset the chronograph whenever you want, and the subdials on the dial show you the elapsed time. Lotus Chronographs incorporate that function into designs that range from the most sporty to the most classic.

It's the most technical part of Lotus watches for men. Watches designed for those who want a genuinely useful function, and for those who value a dial with more information and more visual character: the chronograph subdials give the watch a different presence from that of a three-hand watch.

Different materials, different uses

Lotus Chronographs are available with a steel case and bracelet in different finishes: it's the most structured option with the most presence, ideal for those who want a chronograph that stands out on the wrist. There are also versions with a leather strap, which soften the overall look and bring the chronograph closer to a more classic and dressier territory.

And then there are the models with a silicone strap, more comfortable and more resistant for daily use or for a sporty context. Some of the models with a steel case and bracelet also incorporate a tachymeter bezel, a scale that allows quick speed calculations and reinforces the technical character of the watch.

Frequently asked questions

What is the chronograph for?

The chronograph allows you to measure intervals of time. It's started with one pusher, stopped with another and reset to zero with a third. It's useful for measuring times on the spot, tracking activities, timing intervals or simply having that function available when you need it.

What is the tachymeter that some models have?

It's a scale that appears on the edge of the dial or on the bezel and is used to calculate speeds based on a time measured with the chronograph. It's a function inherited from classic sports chronographs and reinforces the technical character of the watch. Not all Lotus Chronographs have it: it's a feature of some specific models.

How do you use the tachymeter?

It's simpler than it looks. You start the chronograph when you begin covering a distance of 1 km. When you arrive, you stop it. The tachymeter hand points directly to your average speed in km/h. For example, if it takes you 30 seconds to cover that kilometre, the tachymeter will read 120: that was your average speed.

Can it be worn every day?

Yes. The chronograph subdials take up space on the dial, but the main hands can still be read without a problem. It's an everyday watch with an extra function, not a watch reserved for specific occasions.
