Casio WS-1800-2AVEF Watch
The Casio WS-1800-2AVEF is a men's digital watch measuring 48.2 x 45 mm, with a blue resin case and strap. Its 3583 module integrates world time, chronograph, timer with preset times and auto-repeat, 9-interval training, daily alarm and automatic calendar up to 2099. Water resistance is 10 ATM (100 metres) and the CR2025 battery offers approximately 10 years of autonomy.
The display shows hours, minutes, seconds, day of the week and date. The chronograph measures in 1-second intervals, with a capacity of up to 1 hour, and keeps the time visible while running: you do not need to leave the mode to know what time it is. The timer accepts preset times selected with the buttons (15, 20, 12, 10 or 30 minutes, among others), and auto-repeat can be turned on or off depending on whether you want it to count again when it reaches zero or stop.
The interval training function allows up to 9 time segments to be defined, each with its own duration. Segments can be chained linearly (when one ends, the next begins) or repeated in a loop. The minimum duration per interval is 5 to 10 seconds, and each segment is adjusted independently. This is the feature that sets the WS-1800 apart from other digital watches in the same bracket.
World time gives access to several time zones and is useful in travel mode: you can carry the local time and the time back home alternately without losing your reference. The time format is set between 12 and 24 hours, daylight saving time is turned on or off from the menu, and the button tone can be silenced by holding down the mode button. The LED light illuminates the whole screen, although it leaves a visible spot in the centre: it is enough to read in the dark, but it is not uniform lighting.
The watch weighs 41 g, placing it among the lightest digital watches in the collection. The resin case and strap of the same material require no special care, and the clasp is a buckle. The case back is folded sheet metal with generous screws, which makes it easy to change the strap without specific tools.

Why choose this watch?
48.2 x 45 mm and 41 g: compact and light
Compared with other digital watches in the same family, the WS-1800 reduces both size and weight. The 48.2 x 45 mm case and 41 g make it more discreet on the wrist without sacrificing a legible display.
9 configurable training intervals
The timer is not limited to a simple countdown: it allows up to 9 segments with independent duration, chained or looped. This is the feature that sets it apart from other digital watches at a similar price.
10-year CR2025 battery
The CR2025 battery is not rechargeable: it runs down after a decade of use and is replaced at any watch shop. Depending on use, it can stretch to 15 years. No cable, no charger and no maintenance in between.
World time and chronograph with visible time
World time allows several time zones to be checked, and the chronograph keeps the time on screen while running. Two practical functions for those who travel or need to time something without losing their time reference.

Frequently asked questions
How does interval training work?
The timer allows up to 9 time segments to be defined, each with its own duration. You can choose to chain the segments linearly (when one ends, the next begins) or to repeat them in a loop. Each segment is adjusted independently, with a minimum duration of 5 to 10 seconds. It is useful for interval training, measured rest periods or repeated cycles.
Does the LED light illuminate the whole screen?
It illuminates the whole screen, but leaves a brighter spot in the centre, because it is a single LED and not a diffuser system. It is enough to read in the dark, although it is not uniform lighting like electroluminescent. The light turns off even if the button is held down, to avoid draining the battery unnecessarily.
Can the alarm be heard well?
The alarm is basic and the sound is weak. It has no vibration, so in noisy environments or for people with reduced hearing it may go unnoticed. This is a known limitation of this module, not a defect of the unit.
Can I swim with it or does it only resist splashes?
The manufacturer declares 10 ATM, equivalent to 100 metres. That covers swimming in a pool and in the sea at surface level. Avoid pressing the buttons underwater and check the case back before each use.
How does it differ from the WS-1600H?
Both are digital watches from the Collection range with a 10-year battery, swimming resistance and 9 interval timers. The difference is in the format: the WS-1600H is smaller and lighter, and its three-segment display is designed to read split times at a glance while you train. The WS-1800 is larger, with a wider and more legible display. If you want the most compact format for sets and team sports, the 1600H fits better; if you prefer a larger display and a more "complete digital" format, the 1800.
