Materials and Functions
Super Titanium TIC Case and Bracelet
This material, developed by Citizen, combines lightness, strength, and durability. It is approximately 40% lighter than stainless steel. Thanks to the Duratect hardening treatment, Super Titanium™ TIC is five times more scratch-resistant and highly resistant to water and corrosive agents.
Sapphire Crystal
Sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant, ensuring that the dial remains clear and pristine for a long time, even with constant use.
Caliber H800
The Citizen H800 caliber ensures that the Eco-Drive movement works continuously, capturing natural or artificial light to ensure a constant and accurate charge. The accuracy of this caliber is ±15 seconds per month (without radio synchronization), and it has an approximate power reserve of 6 months. In energy-saving mode, the duration is extended when not in use.
Radio Frequency Reception
The H800 Caliber can receive time signals from broadcasters in four key regions of the world: Japan, the USA, Germany, and China. The watch features an intelligent system that automatically detects the nearest broadcasting station based on your location, ensuring that it always receives the strongest signal to sync with the corresponding atomic clock. Moreover, when traveling between zones, the transition is automatic without requiring user intervention.
Worldtime
The Citizen AT8238-84L features a Worldtimer that includes 26 major cities, making it easier to convert between time zones. Available cities include New York, Tokyo, London, Sydney, Hong Kong, and many more.
Chronograph
Equipped with a chronograph that allows measuring intervals of up to 60 minutes with an accuracy of 1/20 second. This feature is ideal for those who need precise measurements, such as in sports or scientific activities.
Perpetual Calendar
Displays the date and day of the week, automatically adjusting to changes in the month and year until 28/2/2100. It also automatically manages leap years and the days of each month.
Power Reserve
Features a power reserve display that shows the remaining battery level in real time. This allows the user to always be aware of the watch’s autonomy, avoiding surprises and ensuring the watch continues working smoothly.
Water Resistance
It has a water resistance of 10 bar, meaning it can withstand dives of up to 100 meters. This makes it suitable for activities like swimming, shallow-water diving, and other water sports.
Reviews of the AT8238-84L Watch
The standout feature of the Citizen AT8238-84L is its radio-controlled function, which automatically adjusts the time and date, including daylight saving time, through radio signals from broadcasters in Japan, the USA, Germany, and China.
Balanced Dimensions and Weight
The Citizen AT8238-84L weighs only 90 grams, making it lightweight and comfortable for everyday wear. Additionally, its 43.5 mm diameter provides a balanced presence on the wrist, making it a versatile watch.
Luminous Indices and Hands
Thanks to the luminous technology applied to both the indices and hands, you can clearly read the time regardless of the surroundings. Whether at night or in low-light environments, this watch ensures every detail of its dial is visible and legible.
Frequently Asked Questions About the Citizen Super Titanium AT8238-84L
This section is designed to answer the most common questions about the Citizen AT8238-84L. Below are the frequently asked questions along with their respective answers.
How does the Eco-Drive movement work?
Citizen's Eco-Drive converts any type of light into energy to power the watch. Light passes through the dial, is captured by solar cells, and converted into electrical energy stored in a long-lasting rechargeable battery. This allows the watch to function even in complete darkness for months, eliminating the need for battery replacements.
Is it suitable for water sports?
Yes, the Citizen H800 is suitable for water sports as it has a water resistance of 100 meters. This makes it suitable for activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and even low-impact water sports. However, it is not recommended for deep diving, as that activity typically requires a water resistance of at least 200 meters.
What maintenance does it require?
Eco-Drive technology eliminates the need for battery changes, but it is essential to regularly expose the watch to light sources, both natural and artificial, to maintain the rechargeable battery's charge.
Why choose the Citizen H800 over other models?
The Citizen H800 stands out for its modern design and functionality. With Eco-Drive movement, it requires no batteries and offers features like a chronograph and 100-meter water resistance. Lightweight, comfortable, and durable, it is ideal for everyday use as well as sports activities. Perfect for those who seek precision and style in a single watch.
