This section is designed to address the most common questions about the Seiko Presage SRPL19J1. Below are the most frequently asked questions and their respective answers.
How does the automatic movement work?
The automatic movement of the Seiko Presage SRPL19J1, known as the 4R35 mechanical movement, relies on a mechanism that uses the natural movement of the wrist to wind the watch's mainspring. This means that with every movement, the internal rotor is activated, keeping the watch running.
The technology used allows the watch to have a power reserve of up to 41 hours. This way, if it is not used for a while, it can still be worn without needing manual winding as long as it has been worn recently.
Is it suitable for water sports?
The Seiko Presage SRPL19J1 has a water resistance of 5 bar, making it suitable for activities like showering or light splashes. However, it is not recommended for diving or deep water activities, as this resistance may not be sufficient in extreme conditions.
What maintenance does it require?
Like any automatic watch, the Seiko Presage SRPL19J1 requires certain care to ensure its proper functioning over time. It is advisable to periodically clean the exterior, as well as perform annual or biennial movement checks to prevent any potential issues.
